Simela Emmanouilidou
She was born in Athens. She graduated from the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University with a major in Classical Voice.
She holds a Diploma in Conducting, Classical Voice, training on music pedagogy according to the Greek Kodály Institute, piano, violin and advanced theory.
Since 2020 she has been one of the conductors, of Marina’s Satti female choir, Chores.
In 2022-2023 she was the conductor of Eleusina’s choir, Chores.
Since 2015 she is the Conductor of the Choir of the Women’s Center in the Municipality of Ilion.
The past years she has been writing choir and theatrical music.
In 2023 she participated in the artistic competition “Likithos” in the music composition catergory and won the second prize.
From 2017 to 2020 she was member of the choral vocal ensemble Chores of Marina Satti, participating in several productions (Medea, All Greece a culture, etc.).
She has attended seminars with Costas Paschalis, Aris Christofelis, Helga Wagner, Kms Kurt Equiluz, Cheryl Studer, Dimitris Giakas, Nikos Vassiliou, Petros Gallias, Cindi Trent.
For two years she studied French Baroque with Iakovos Pappas, where she appeared as “Cybele”, (“Atys” – Jean-Baptiste Lully) and as “Leonore”, (“Le Carnaval de Venise” – Andre Campra).
She studied melodramatic art with Panagis Pagoulatos, Filippos Tsalachouris and Giannis Aeriniotis.
She has collaborated as the main violonist with the Ionian University Orchestra, conducted by Miltos Logiadis, the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Corfu, conducted by Alkis Baltas and the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Kalamata conducted by Andreas Tselikas.
She was a member of the Children’s Choir and Orchestra of the Third Program, the Children and Mixed Choir of the Kodaly Conservatory and the Mixed Choir of the Ionian University.
