Katerina Foti
has graduated With- Honours from the Professional Dance School“RallouManou”. She has attended seminars with high –respected dance teachers such asLisiEstaras, Mathilde Monnier, Damien Jalet, Rakesh Sukesh, Narendra Patil, Lali Ayguade Farro, Peter Jasko and Linda Kapetanea- Josef Frucek (Fighting Monkey Practice) and Patricia Apergi. She has also attended theatrical seminars with Theodoros Terzopoulos , globally recognized for his physical theater method.
She has collaborated with “Stereo Nero Dance Co.”as dancer, assistant choreographer and rehearsal director to all its productions from 2015 until 2021(Onassis Foundation -SGT 2021, Athens and Epidaurus Festival 2019, 9th Arc For Dance Festival 2017& 2020, JarmilaJerabkova/ New Europe Festival- Czech Republic 2015 and “HAUTScene – Young Choreographers 2017/ Copenhagen”).
As a performer, she has also participated at Athens Biennale, at the Spanish festivals of “A Cielo Abierto” network (Cadiz enDanza, Trayectos ,Agitart Figueres καιLekuzLeku)and at the Italian festivals Danza Urbana- Bolognia and Ammutinamenti – Ravenna and at Arc for Dance Festival and she has also collaborated with the sound designer Jung In Jung, performing in Festivals in Spain and Portugal and also to Huddersfield University as part of Jung’s thesis in her PhD.
She has worked with Willi Dorner for the project “Bodies in Urban Spaces “ held in Athens and she also works as choreographer/ movement director in theatrical plays collaborating with National Theater of Greece and Athens Festival. She teaches contemporary dance classes to adults since 2015. She graduated from Law School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and still works on that field and from Musical High School and Lyceum of Volos, where she has achieved honours in music contests during 1998-2002.
